<p>The 2010 Tax Tea Party Rally at Victory Park in Manchester, NH happened Thursday and blogs <strong>Angry Seafood and Radioactive Liberty</strong> were there amidst fellow NH conservative bloggers in the Bloggers Row organized by Skip from <a href="http://granitegrok.com/">Granite Grok</a>.</p>
<p>In attendance along the row were <a href="http://americaswatchtower.com/">America’s Watchtower</a>, <a href="http://croydoncraft.blogspot.com/">Citizens for Reasonable&amp;Fair Taxes-Croyden</a>, <a href="http://conchrist.blogspot.com/">ConChrist</a>,<a href="http://www.libertarianleanings.com/" target="_blank"> Libertarian Leanings</a>, <a href="http://www.nhinsider.com/">News from the Northwoods, NH Insider</a>, <a href="http://newhampshire.watchdog.org/"> NH Watchdog</a>, <a href="http://massbackwards.blogspot.com/"> No Looking Backwards</a>, <a href="http://onevoiceingilford.blogspot.com/">One Voice In Gilford</a>, <a href="http://punsalad.com/"> Pun Salad</a>, <a href="http://www.redhampshire.com/"> RedHampshire</a>, <a href="http://takebackorfordnh.blogspot.com/"> TBONH</a>, <a href="http://www.laconia-nh.us/"> The Blogging Councilor</a>, <a href="http://weekendpundit.org/"> Weekend Pundit</a></p>
<p>(<em>Skip has a post with pictures of everyone in the Row. <a href="http://granitegrok.com/blog/2010/04/manchester_tea_party_2010_bloggers_row.html">Check it out</a>.</em>)</p>
<p>The first part of the <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/rl-report-2010-manchester-nh-tax-day-tea-party-rally/">coverage began Friday over at RL</a> and continues here now&#8230;</p>
<p>The new media was there live blogging the rally while the old media kept singing &#8220;<em>la la la can&#8217;t hear you</em>&#8221; and covering their ears. I guess it beats the tired liberal &#8220;<em>what do we want? (fill in the blank) when do we want it? Now!</em>&#8221; mantra.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally08.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4785" title="2010taxdayrally08" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally08.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="351" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally09.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4786" title="2010taxdayrally09" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally09.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="305" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally15.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4789" title="2010taxdayrally15" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally15.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="387" /></a></p>
<p>I sense a theme here.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally11.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4787" title="2010taxdayrally11" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally11.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="310" /></a></p>
<p>Not only are those awesome signs but note what they are also holding: copies of the Constitution.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally14.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4788" title="2010taxdayrally14" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally14.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="204" /></a></p>
<p>Two+ centuries later and the theme still resonates.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally17.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4790" title="2010taxdayrally17" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally17.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="359" /></a></p>
<p>That Jefferson quote is very telling. And he said it hundreds of years ago. Even then they knew.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally20.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4791" title="2010taxdayrally20" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally20.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="397" /></a></p>
<p>The taxman also takes the skin and leaves you a surcharge for removal as well.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally22.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4792" title="2010taxdayrally22" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally22.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="333" /></a></p>
<p>The less the better.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally37.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4794" title="2010taxdayrally37" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2010taxdayrally37.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="276" /></a></p>
<p>The axe sign was genius.</p>
<p><em>Coming up: A serious blog post over at Politics DMZ on some of the stories of the rally including a conversation with the next generation and a follow-up on the open carry guy that freaked out MSNBC at Portsmouth last Summer. </em></p>
<p><em>I&#8217;ll also have the Capt Obvious post up soon over at RL with captions from the people at the rally who submitted quotes as well as a column here highlighting what the other members of Bloggers Row posted about the event.<br />
</em></p>

<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/nhtaxdayrally07.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4773" title="nhtaxdayrally07" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/nhtaxdayrally07.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="338" /></a></p>
<p>I met new people, saw peaceful protesting in action, and did my first reporting since the days of being on my college newspaper. (Like two decades ago. Yeah I&#8217;m like old and stuff.)</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be back again there tomorrow and I have also been invited to be a part of &#8220;<em>Bloggers Row</em>&#8221; at this year&#8217;s Tax Day Tea Party Rally. I&#8217;ll be among some of the state&#8217;s prominent bloggers and online journalists.</p>
<p>(Shhh don&#8217;t tell them I&#8217;m just some random guy who makes fun of pretty much everything.)</p>
<p>Keynote speakers will be Michigan Rep Thaddeus McCotter and former NH Senator Gordon Humphrey.</p>
<p>There are also rumors of anti-protesters showing up so that should make things more interesting.</p>
<p>Anyone have any ideas for signs?</p>

<p>In today&#8217;s column over at <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com">Radioactive Liberty</a>, I ask some very serious questions as to the whereabouts of blog founder Fiar. His absence from the blogosphere is a mystery as much as what the hell his name means.</p>
<p><strong>Where is Fiar?</strong></p>
<blockquote><p><em>The creator of this fine blog, FIAR is missing. He was last seen publishing </em><em>The One Trillion Dollar Obama Health Care Plan post and commenting on another post on February 22, 2010.</em></p>
<p><em> Since then he has been awol from the blogosphere&#8230;</em></p></blockquote>

<p>Ten years ago he became a household name when he was found floating on an inner tube off the coast of Florida.</p>
<p>He was immediately turned into the poster child for the those trying to escape the oppression of the Cuban government.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/el76.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-4732" style="border: 1px solid black; margin: 2px;" title="el76" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/el76.jpg" alt="" width="280" height="284" /></a>Then he morphed into the poster child for the over-reach of the Federal government and was returned to his native Cuba by U.S. immigration officials.</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/el77.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-4733 alignnone" title="el77" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/el77.jpg" alt="" width="419" height="313" /></a></p>
<p>Yes, that&#8217;s right, an illegal alien, or undocumented worker for those who don&#8217;t like talking about things in realistic terms, was actually kicked out of the country. That&#8217;s so 2000.</p>
<p>Now <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/20100406/ts_ynews/ynews_ts1481">he&#8217;s got a new poster</a>:</p>
<p><a href="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/el75.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-4730 alignnone" title="el75" src="http://angryseafood.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/el75.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="272" /></a></p>
<blockquote><p><em>A decade later, however, there are new photos of a nearly grown-up Elian Gonzalez &#8211; and they present a very different kind of propaganda image.</em></p>
<p><em>The new pictures show a serious-looking 16-year-old sporting a closely cropped haircut, wearing an olive-green military school uniform with red shoulder patches, as he attends a Young Communist Union meeting. The Cuban government press released the images under the none-too-subtle headline &#8220;Young Elian Gonzalez defends his revolution in the youth congress.&#8221;</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Aren&#8217;t Communists so cute at that age?</p>
<p>The incident also inspired one of the first internet viral videos. Remember this?</p>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="425" height="344" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PU136GSGtXA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PU136GSGtXA&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p>That is current U.S. Attorney Eric Holder behind Janet Reno by the way.</p>
<p>Maybe next time we see Elian he will be dating Jane Fonda. They would make a lovely couple.</p>

<p>Apparently there is an economic boom in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The eight million residents of the two states must have missed the memo.</p>
<p>Never fear because the media is on the case. Well, the left side that is.</p>
<p>But so am I.</p>
<p><strong>Someone Stop the Booming Economy Before It Overheats</strong></p>
<p>Big news everyone.</p>
<p>Not only has the recession ended in Massachusetts, and New Hampshire too apparently, we’ve got a runaway economy on our hands in the Bay State&#8230;</p>
<blockquote><p>Supported by universities and hospitals, and buoyed by a housing rebound, Massachusetts has pulled out of recession ahead of most states and could start to add jobs steadily in coming months, according to a leading economic forecasting firm.</p></blockquote>

<p style="text-align: left;">The 2010 United States Census is underway and already over budget. And they’ve only mailed out the forms, paid 15,000 people who didn’t actually work, and tried to figure out how many households there are.</p>
<p>Don’t worry because any day now they will actually start counting people. They just won’t count the “invisibles”, according to <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/03/15/2010-03-15_census_2010_undocumented_immigrants_are_urged_to_stand_up_and_be_counted.html#ixzz0iRWkaK9e">New York Secretary of State Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez</a>:</p>

<p>Invisible people do not count? They don’t have a voice? What’s next, a Wal-Mart announcing that all invisible people have to leave the store?</p>
<p>So much for the post-racial society that had been ushered in by the historic, and dare I say unprecedented election of Barack Obama.</p>
<p>And don’t give me the excuse that invisible people are hard to count. If we sent people to the moon we can tally a race of unseen humans.</p>
<p>The underlying tone of the Secretary’s remarks is deafening. It smacks of fear, and McCarthyism.</p>
<p>For all we know, according to them invisible people could live in invisible houses, drive invisible cars, and have invisible jobs. They could be mingling among us, ready at a moment’s notice to rise up and kill all the visible people.</p>
<p>They are dangerous and need to be tracked, monitored.</p>
<p>That is what the fear mongers want you to believe.</p>
<p>I just want to know if there is an invisible person sitting next to you while you read this post.</p>

First there was <a href="http://angryseafood.com/us-health-care-future-no-sitting-allowed/">the post about the dangers of sitting down on a patient&#8217;s bed</a>. Now my column over at <a href="http://radioactiveliberty.com/obamas-3000-percent-sales-pitch/">Radioactive Liberty</a>.</p>
<p>The other day Obama made a funny gaffe about health insurance premiums being reduced by a percentage instead of dollar amount. The crowd loved it by the way.</p>
<p>And it turns out even the dollar amount was wrong, based on an assessment of some of the concepts of the reform and not the actual House bill.</p>
<h3><strong>Obama&#8217;s 3000 Percent Sales Pitch</strong></h3>
<blockquote><p><em>Usually lowering the price of something by more than 100 percent is a very bad idea. But 3000 percent?</em></p>
<p><em>That’s called good governing.</em></p>
<p><em>If Obamacare rams its way through Congress employer-based health care will defy the laws of physics or economics or something like that.</em></p></blockquote>

<p>Government control of health care is an awesome idea. They run things so well, from the Post Office, to Amtrak, to Medicare. And at a profit I might add, if you count losing money as making it.</p>
<p>So we have nothing to worry about in a <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100317/ap_on_he_me/eu_med_hospital_sitting_ban">govt-controlled health care system like in the UK</a> right?</p>
<blockquote><p><em>Britons trying to cheer up their hospitalized friends and relatives often have to do so standing up; sitting on the bed usually isn&#8217;t allowed.</em></p>
<p><em>In a commentary published Wednesday in the British medical journal BMJ, Dr. Iona Heath argues the recommendation is unjustified and denies patients the chance to be close to their loved ones.</em></p>
<p><em>British authorities claim the ban on sitting is needed to prevent patients from getting infected by visitors and health care staff.</em></p>
<p><em>&#8220;Don&#8217;t be tempted to sit on the patient&#8217;s bed,&#8221; warns the Peninsula National Health Service Treatment Centre in Devon in guidance on its Web site.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>A health care system where normal contact between humans is dangerous, and even life threatening? Where the hell do I sign up?</p>

<p>It might take a while.</p>
<p><strong>UPDATE:</strong> Got sixty posts, the best from June 2007 to March 2008 up. Many of them are missing their pictures.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s my latest over at RL:</p>
<h3>I Believe in Man Made Global Warming</h3>
<blockquote><p><em>I have decided it is time to stop fighting the inevitable and put my faith in the belief that humans are causing Global Warming.</em></p>
<p><em>It is the right thing to do after all.</em></p></blockquote>
