Oops I Did It Again
Written by Chris C on November 12th, 2008Yes I did it again.
Unfortunately, what I did again was not answering Britney Spears’ booty call. She’s called me every night this week. Despite her advances I know better then to get mixed up with that trollop again.
I am talking about something more important than being the 324th guy some B-List celebrity slept with in a week. This is about my never-ending quest for my perfect blog template.
It started with this theme. Very simple:
I took the ball and ran with it, modifying the crap out of the code while also developing a color and text scheme all the while knowing I was up against a demon: making sense of css written by people who write messy code…
I fought through the code like a man trying to win the affections of Lindsey Lohan except in my case I knew I had a chance.
Then I found this theme that has some great images that I used for my header. Screw you Lindsey!
Now I finally have my perfect template despite the attempts by Spears and Lohan to thwart me.
Oh yes, and if you were wondering about the book review it will be up Wednesday. (Ed Note: Now more like next week. My stupidity as you read below set me back a post or two. Hell, I haven’t even gotten to my RL column and it’s due ASAP.)
Update: I understand there is a problem with comments. I’m working on it and if there are any other problems please let me know through my Contact page.
Update Two: Commenting is fixed and it was because I put the comment form page on a 301 redirect back to the main page of the blog. It had nothing to do with any messy code and to be fair I was not referring to the author of this theme but rather all the messy templates that are out there. Open source is what it is.

Whew, I just thought you were pissed at me or something. ;) I did want to say– and did say earlier– that your new theme really fits well with the name of the blog. Very nice.
And believe me, I understand about switching. I go crazy once in a while, but I’m trying to stay with what I have– for now. I even added in the old car at the request of Muskrat: on the bottom of the page.

I just was wondering, where did all those comments go? Did the comment fairey take them off to some far of magic land? Did they get eaten by trolls? Or did they end up with THEM, even now being waterboarded, attempting to extract information that will be used against us all?

@unfinished: Thanks. My goal was just that: theme matching name. The angry fish even quote from movies :)
@Meg: Thanks. Yes, when I blame two bimbo celebrities I mean the entire female gender. So when I blame the downfall of music on the Jonas Brothers I mean to say all men are the reason. Hope we are clear on that :P
@Rickey: Thanks and yes I am. I promise this is ‘the one’. It even unlocked my door like in A Bronx Tale. Okay that was weird…
@Les: Technically because the comment form was never sent it was like they never happened. Honestly, though I think there is some alternate dimension where lost comments go and humans are constantly having to get rid of them as well as those socks that disappear from our dryers.
